Thistle Resources CEO discusses TSXV debut and growth plans

Thistle Resources (TSX-V:TRCG) earlier this week marked a key milestone as it began trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol TRCG, with CEO Patrick Cruickshank outlining the company’s strategy and project portfolio in a Proactive interview.
Cruickshank said the listing represented the culmination of a long-term effort since the company’s founding in 2017, adding that it was “a very, very special day” for the business. The company has focused on assembling a portfolio of precious metals and critical minerals assets, primarily in the Bathurst Mining Camp in New Brunswick, alongside additional projects in Nova Scotia.
He highlighted two flagship projects expected to drive near-term activity. The Middle River Gold Deposit has been advanced using modern geophysical techniques, with Cruickshank noting the identification of a seven-kilometre mineralized system. The company plans to initiate drilling shortly, targeting both near-surface and deeper zones, including what he described as the strongest chargeability anomaly in the camp.
The second key asset, the Brunswick antimony project, is located in the historic Brunswick mines and has returned high-grade results. Cruickshank reported assays exceeding 10% antimony alongside significant silver values, and suggested the project could host “the highest grade antimony occurrences in all of North America.”
He pointed to antimony’s strategic importance, citing strong pricing and supply dominance from China as factors driving investor interest. The company believes its Canadian location offers a competitive advantage, particularly given the increasing focus on secure, domestic supply chains for critical minerals.
Looking ahead, Cruickshank indicated that Thistle Resources Corp is fully funded for initial exploration, with 90% of prior capital already deployed into the ground. All projects are drill-ready, and the company expects to be active in the field, beginning with Middle River.
He also emphasized the supportive regulatory environment in New Brunswick, noting rapid permitting timelines and access to government programs. With projects situated on Crown land, the company has been able to advance efficiently.
The upcoming drill campaign represents a key catalyst as Thistle Resources Corp looks to unlock value across its portfolio.
