Santa Ana community backs Xali Gold’s Pico Machay development

Xali Gold (TSX-V:XGC) has received confirmation from the local community of Comunidad Campesina de Salcca Santa Ana (Santa Ana) of their support for the advancement of the Pico Machay Gold Project in Peru.

The community held an extraordinary assembly on 28 June 2026, where members agreed to authorise the company to continue drilling, exploration, and environmental studies that are critical for the development of Pico Machay.

Xali says that this approval is reflective of the relationship the company holds with the Santa Ana community, strengthened through open communication, transparency, and a shared commitment to responsible development.

The company also notes that the ongoing success of the project is dependent on this continued relationship.

CEO Joanne Freeze says that Xali is grateful for the support it has received from the Santa Ana community.

“This authorisation reflects our work together toward a shared purpose: improving quality of life while maintaining high environmental and social standards and responsibly advancing the Pico Machay Project, Freeze says.

“We recognise that trust is earned over time through our actions, and we are committed to being a trusted long-term partner to the community by working transparently and respecting local priorities.”

Xali is also focused on advancing environmental baseline studies, drilling to update the historical resource and to test exploration targets, advancing geological mapping, resource modelling, surface and underground sampling, and technical studies to support economic evaluations.

Xali Gold is a gold and silver exploration company focused on advancing opportunities in North and South America, with a particular focus on the Pico Machay Gold Project in Peru.
