Future’s brother FBG Casino busted by FBI and DEA

Freebandz rapper arrested in major fentanyl trafficking bust; prosecutors seek no bail

Freebandz rapper FBG Casino — the brother of superstar Future — has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl following a federal raid in Georgia last week.

Casino, whose real name is Rico Deville Buice, was taken into custody on Friday, Nov. 14, alongside co-defendant David Estevan Montillo Diaz, after FBI and DEA agents stormed an Airbnb in Forest Park, Ga., which straddles the southern edge of Atlanta. Prosecutors say Buice attempted to flee through a side door as agents entered the property.

Inside the home, authorities say federal agents uncovered 21 kilograms of fentanyl, including at least one brick stamped with a Louis Vuitton logo. Agents also found $300,000 in cash stored in a cardboard box and another $80,000 inside a Goyard bag believed to belong to Buice — a bag that investigators noted resembles one he was photographed with on Instagram. Buice reportedly had an additional $4,000 on him at the time of the arrest.

Prosecutors allege that “the totality of the circumstances” indicates Diaz was in the process of selling the fentanyl to Buice when the raid occurred.

“This operation is an example of the power of the Task Force in disrupting deadly drug trafficking operations,” said Paul Brown, Special Agent in Charge of FBI Atlanta, according to Justice.gov. “The seizure of 21 kilograms of fentanyl and over $380,000 in drug proceeds is a direct hit to those who seek to poison our communities. The FBI, in partnership with our law enforcement colleagues, will relentlessly pursue these criminals and hold them accountable.”

Buice is being held in federal custody as prosecutors push for him to be denied bail. They cite the gravity of the charges — which carry a maximum penalty of life imprisonment or death — and argue there is “a serious risk” he may attempt to flee. Prosecutors also accuse Buice of misleading authorities about his finances, claiming he reported earning $2,166.67 per month as a studio manager despite recently living in a $4 million residence and owning multiple high-end vehicles, including a Mercedes and a BMW.

A detention hearing is expected in the coming days.
