The Lambda Kappa Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority will welcome WCVB Meteorologist Kelly Ann Cicalese as a workshop facilitator for the Sigma Youth Symposium. Held simultaneously each year by Sigma Gamma Rho Alumnae Chapters across the nation, the Sigma Youth Symposium is a signature program designed to spotlight issues impacting young people and empower them with tools for success.Under this year’s theme, Bright Minds, Bold Futures: A STEAM Event, the half-day symposium will engage students in hands-on activities that spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving across the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Kelly Ann Cicalese’s work as an on-air meteorologist brings science to life every day, inspiring young minds to explore weather, climate, and the technology behind forecasting. During her interactive workshop, students will have the opportunity to learn about her career path, experience engaging weather demonstrations, and discover how science and technology play a critical role in understanding our world.
