Stocks in Focus: Reliance Industries, Sun Pharma, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, which are an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, were trading higher by 75 points at 23,504, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Monday.
Earlier on Monday, 16 March, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex surged by 938 points or 1.26%, and settled at 75,502, while the Nifty50 traded 1.11% higher or 257 points, closing at 23,408.
Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 17 March.
Reliance Industries: The company entered into a long-term Supply and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Samsung C&T Corporation for supplying green ammonia over 15 years starting from the second half of FY2029. The deal is valued at over $3 billion, making it one of the largest global green ammonia off-take agreements.
Sun Pharmaceutical: The US FDA accepted for review the supplemental Biologics License Application (sBLA) for ILUMYA, aimed at treating adults with active psoriatic arthritis. The regulatory decision is expected by 29 October, 2026.
Rail Vikas Nigam: The company received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) worth Rs 95.27 crore from NMDC for refurbishing track infrastructure and maintaining mobile equipment at Kirandul and Bacheli in Chhattisgarh.
Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation: GMDC signed an MoU with NMDC to explore opportunities in the rare earth elements (REE) sector, focusing on building an integrated value chain in Gujarat.
Power Mech Projects: The company secured an order worth Rs 709.56 crore from Adani Infrastructure Management Services for operations, maintenance, and overhauling work at a 5×660 MW thermal power plant in Tiroda, Maharashtra.
L&T Technology Services: The company launched a next-generation AI-powered digital twin platform for lung navigation, surgical planning, and respiratory diagnostics, leveraging NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure to enhance precision and outcomes.
Zydus Lifesciences: Its US-based subsidiary, Sentynl Therapeutics Inc., entered into an agreement with South Korea’s PRG S&T to license its investigational molecule Progerinin (SLC-D011) for treating Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome.
Adani Enterprises: The NCLT Ahmedabad approved a Composite Scheme of Arrangement involving Adani Green Technology (AGTL), Adani Emerging Businesses (AEBPL), Adani Enterprises (AEL), Adani Tradecom (ATL), and Adani New Industries (ANIL).
Bajaj Electricals: The company signed a definitive agreement to acquire the intellectual property and brand rights of Morphy Richards in India and select South Asian markets for Rs 141.4 crore.
