SBA National 13, Premier Banditos 5

In their quest to defend last year’s gold medal, SBA National took down the Premier Banditos 13-5 and moved to 3-0 on the weekend. After two scoreless innings to open the game, SBA got on the board in the third after Cooper Thissen smoked a two-run double down the right field line. They tacked on two more runs for a 4-0 lead, but the Banditos could not be denied, blanking SBA in the next frame before plating five runs to take the lead in the fourth inning. In the end, the SBA bats proved to be too much for the Banditos as they scored nine runs in the final two innings to secure the victory.

MVP Hustle 10, Canes Southwest National 0

Taz Tulowitzki starred for MVP, punching out four batters in 2.2 scoreless innings on the bump and smacking a double at the plate. East Cobb Astros 6, SBA Southeast 5

Finally, the pivotal play of the game came on CJ Kaminski’s go-ahead sac fly RBI, which clinched the victory for the Astros. Andrew Cunningham contributed to the win with 3.1 scoreless innings to close the game for East Cobb.
