Power Nickel completes Hole 80 at Nisk Project’s Lion Zone

Power Nickel Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) has successfully completed Hole 80 at its Nisk Project near Nemaska, Quebec, stepping out 150 meters west along the strike of the Lion Zone.

This step-out is part of the company’s efforts to expand the zone, which currently has a confirmed strike length of 550 meters.

The Lion Zone, situated adjacent to an ultramafic rock unit extending 1.8 kilometers, is being explored through a 30,000-meter winter drill program.

Drilling efforts are focused on testing the zone’s western extension and its plunging nature along strike.

The mineralized zone, characterized by semi-massive to massive chalcopyrite, appears to have a vertical extent equivalent to its lateral reach, suggesting significant resource potential at depth.

“I am thrilled we have successfully stepped out an additional 150 meters to further test the potential of the Lion Zone,” said Power Nickel chief executive Terry Lynch.

“The Lion Zone has been one of the most compelling base metal discoveries in the past year,” Lynch added. “Our exploration team has used an array of tools to track this mineralized area, which remains open to the east, west, and at depth. We look forward to advancing this discovery further.”

Power Nickel is integrating advanced techniques such as downhole EM surveys, airborne EM, and geochemical analysis to enhance target identification.

These tools are helping to delineate the zone’s structure and mineral composition, aiding in the development of a robust exploration strategy.

In addition to westward drilling, the company plans to explore the zone’s eastern extension and deeper mineralization.

The 30,000-meter program is expected to continue through April 2025, encompassing regional exploration between the Nisk and Lion zones using scout drilling and downhole EM techniques.
