Yacin Dolivet joined Tower as a quant researcher. He spent over eight years at Citadel Securities in a number of roles, including a three-year stint as its head of ETF quantitative research. He latterly worked in quant research for index arbitrage (capitalizing on price inefficiencies between an ETF and its underlying products).

Dolivet is a veteran of the HFT space. He was previously head of quants for options market making at KCG Holdings. a market maker which has since been acquired by Virtu Financial. He also spent over six years as an equity derivatives quant at Barclays, working in part on Asian index options market making.

For the past two years, Dolivet has been serving out his noncompete clause. Although he already had a PhD from one of the Grandes Écoles before entering finance, he used that time to go back to school. He obtained an artificial intelligence certificate from Stanford, completing various AI modules, including two on reinforcement learning. Bloomberg reported in 2024 that Tower was one of the earliest firms to adopt that machine learning technique.

Citadel Securities declined to comment. Tower Research did not respond to a comment request.
