Power Metallic roars into Lion plunges

Power Metallic Mines (TSX-V:PNPN) has confirmed westerly and easterly plunges at the Lion East and Lion West target zones from drilling across the Lion Zone in Québec.
The company describes the westerly plunge as “dominant” and “steep”, while the easterly plunge has more shallow characteristics that appears to control the “highest-grade zones” across the asset.
Across the Lion Zone, Power Metallic has currently identified four easterly trending structures.
Drilling was conducted to identify the shallowest of trends at the project to determine if the mineralisation trend hosts validity and test the potential for expansion.
Hole PML-26-054 was the first of this program, intersecting 5m of Lion style mineralisation and returning visible copper in narrow lenses.
Power Metallic is currently testing one of the easterly trends, which aligns with the mineralisation intersected at 350m, while the other three have yet to be drill tested.
Vice President of Exploration Joe Campbell says the easterly trends are a new focus of geologists working on a long-term exploration target.
“The verification of this plunge trend, while expanding the Lion target area, also is acting as a vector direction towards a potential large nickel-copper deposit that is the source for the mobilised copper mineralisation,” Campbell says.
Power Metallic is a Canadian explorer focused on copper-platinum group elements, nickel, gold, and silver.
