Periodic Updates on the Grains, Livestock Futures Markets

OMAHA (DTN) — Posted 08:35 — December corn is down 3 3/4 cents per bushel, November soybeans are down 2 1/2 cents, December KC wheat is down 5 cents, December Chicago wheat is down 6 1/2 cents and December MIAX wheat is up 2 3/4 cents. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 299.52 points. The U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.140 and October crude oil is up $2.80 per barrel. December gold is up $34.90 per ounce. USDA: Private exporters reported the following sales activities: 182,880 mt (7.2 mb) of corn to Mexico for 2026/2027, 340,000 mt (12.5 mb)of soybeans to China for 2026/2027 and 100,000 mt (3.7 mb) of soybeans to unknown destinations for 2026/2027. Corn, wheat and beans are leaking lower with only MIAX wheat higher.
Posted 08:36 — October live cattle are up $0.13 at $217.15, October feeder cattle are down $0.30 at $325.15, October lean hogs are down $1.03 at $83.225, December corn is down 4 1/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is up $0.70. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 273.37 points and the NASDAQ is down 78.05 points. The livestock complex is off to a mixed start at Wednesday’s open as traders desire to push the contracts higher, but want to see greater fundamental support too. No cash cattle trade has developed yet and no bids are currently on the table.
