Power Metallic records Lion Zone’s second best intercept

Power Metallic Mines (TSX-V:PNPN) has returned the second best intersection ever at the Lion Zone target within the broader Nisk Project in Canada, from the winter 2026 drilling program.

Hole PML-26-095 intersected 22m @ 11.46% copper-equivalent, including 6.50m @ 18.59% copper-equivalent and 4m @ 18.62% copper-equivalent.

Meanwhile, hole PML-26-069 intersected 6.58m @ 4% copper-equivalent, including 2.82m @ 8.26% copper-equivalent.

The infill drillholes cover 560m down plunge extent from the core of the Lion Zone to the central southwestern Lion area.

Power Metallic Mines says these holes highlight the robust near surface mineralisation, as well as returning the deepest ‘high-grade’ intercept at Lion. These holes will be included in future resource estimates and outline the potential for open pit development.

CEO Terry Lynch says the Lion Zone delivers “high-grade” intersections that are more than an order of magnitude beyond the grade of the average producing copper mine.

“Results demonstrate that both grade and thickness are being maintained and, in places, increasing as we advance toward our inaugural mineral resource estimate in the third quarter of 2026,” Lynch says.

This news comes after Power Metallic received assay results including 17.45m @ 9.47% copper-equivalent, including 6.30m @ 17.91% copper-equivalent.

The drilling program is continuing to define the Lion Zone in preparation for the MRE scheduled in Q3 2026. The program also supports the modelled interpretation of the Lion Zone based on earlier wider spaced drilling.

Power Metallic is expanding mineralisation at the Nisk and Lion discovery zones, while also evaluating the Tiger target and exploring an enlarged land package through drill programs.

Beyond Nisk, the company indirectly has an interest in land packages in British Columbia and Chile through its 50% ownership position in Chilean Metals (TSX-V:CMCG) which was spun out from Power Metallic in early 2025.

Power Metallic Mines is a Canadian explorer focused on copper, platinum group elements, nickel, gold, and silver.
