Power Nickel begins 8,000 metre drilling program at Nisk

Power Nickel Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) has announced the start of its 2024 summer drill program at the Nisk property in Nemaska, Quebec.

With a targeted 20 holes and over 8,000 meters of drilling, Power Nickel is intensifying its search for additional mineralized zones rich in copper, platinum, palladium, gold, silver, and nickel at the polymetallic Lion Zone.

The drilling campaign builds upon the recent successful results at the Lion Zone.

Drills will will initially focus on further demonstrating the depth continuity and testing for lateral occurrences of similar polymetallic mineralized sulphides lenses.

In addition to the Lion Zone, the summer drilling program will also include expansion efforts at the Nisk Main zone, focusing on both depth and lateral extensions. By drilling below observed high-grade shoots and targeting the ANT 1 and ANT 2 areas to the east of Nisk Main, Power Nickel aims to further delineate the potential of this promising resource.

Specifically, the exploration will target the area beneath the three deepest intersections to date.

To bolster the program, Steve Beresford has joined Power Nickel as a special advisor. Beresford’s experience includes numerous successful discoveries, the company told investors.

Ken Williamson, VP Exploration, emphasized the interconnected nature of the drilling initiatives, viewing Nisk Main and Lion Zone as integral components of a larger geological system.

“Drilling Nisk Main and its surrounding area are, in our view, not separate drilling programs; rather we see them as part of the same greater story,” Williamson said in a statement.

“With the working hypothesis that Nisk Main (dominantly Nickel-rich) and Lion Zone (being more polymetallic / PGE-rich) could be parts of a much bigger system.”

Power Nickel CEO Terry Lynch highlighted the potential of the Nisk Property to yield significant polymetallic discoveries.

“Polymetallic deposits like Norilsk, Platreef, and Sakatti are literally the world’s most valuable due do their nature. They are very rare, but they do exist, and Nisk is giving every indication that it will follow in this line of polymetallic discoveries.”
