Powerball Winning Numbers: Results for Wednesday September 16 drawing for the $271 Million jackpot
The Powerballjackpot has rolled again, putting an estimated $271 million on the line for Wednesday night’s drawing after nobody claimed the grand prize earlier this week.
The September 16 jackpot carries an estimated cash value of $115.1 million. The drawing is scheduled for 10:59 p.m. ET, with players needing to match five white balls and the red Powerball to win the top prize.

Monday’s drawing produced the numbers 19, 20, 57, 61 and 67, with 22 as the Powerball. The Power Play multiplier was 2x. No ticket matched all six numbers, allowing the jackpot to continue growing.
The winning numbers for Wednesday’s drawing hadn’t yet been posted at the time of publication.
Monday produced two million-dollar winners
Missing the jackpot didn’t mean everyone went home empty-handed. One ticket sold in Ohio matched the five white balls and included Power Play, making it worth $2 million.
A Georgia ticket matched the same five white numbers without Power Play and won $1 million. Powerball tickets cost $2 per play in most participating jurisdictions.
Players choose five numbers from 1 through 69 and one Powerball number from 1 through 26. Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
A jackpot winner would have two payout choices. The advertised $271 million represents the annuity option, which is paid over time. The alternative is the estimated $115.1 million cash payment, with both amounts subject to applicable taxes.
Another major jackpot in eventful 2026
Powerball has already produced several significant winners this year, including a $1.04 billion jackpot won in Illinois in August. That prize ranks among the largest in the game’s history.
Wednesday’s $271 million prize is considerably smaller, but it would still rank as one of the year’s larger jackpots.
The odds remain daunting. Powerball lists the chance of winning the jackpot at approximately 1 in 292.2 million, while the overall odds of winning any prize are about 1 in 24.9 million.
Players should still check tickets carefully after the drawing even if they don’t match all six numbers, because lower-tier prizes are available for several combinations.
Wednesday night will determine whether the jackpot resets or rolls higher again.
