USDA AMS Oilseed Report September 16, 2026: Corn, Soybean, Wheat Futures Settle Mixed – News and Statistics

The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service released its National Daily Sunflower, Canola, Millet and Flaxseed Report for September 16, 2026, according to the agency’s Livestock, Poultry and Grain Market News division. The report, identified as AMS 2887, presents futures settlements, commodity prices, cash bids and oilseed market indicators for the trading day.
Futures settlements on the Chicago Board of Trade showed corn at 534.25 cents per bushel for December 2026 delivery, with the March 2027 contract at 548.75 cents and the July 2027 contract at 557.75 cents. The May 2027 corn contract settled at 555.25 cents, while the September 2027 contract stood at 530.25 cents and the December 2027 contract at 534.00 cents.
Soybean futures on the CBOT settled at 1320.50 cents per bushel for November 2026, 1337.25 cents for January 2027, 1345.25 cents for March 2027, 1351.50 cents for May 2027, 1355.25 cents for July 2027, 1336.00 cents for August 2027 and 1293.25 cents for September 2027.
CBOT wheat contracts settled at 730.75 cents per bushel for December 2026, 746.75 cents for March 2027, 754.00 cents for May 2027, 752.25 cents for July 2027, 756.75 cents for September 2027, 765.75 cents for December 2027 and 771.00 cents for March 2028.
White wheat futures on the CBOT were reported at 402.25 cents per bushel for December 2026, 414.00 cents for March 2027, 417.50 cents for May 2027, 414.25 cents for July 2027, 408.50 cents for September 2027, 418.75 cents for December 2027 and 422.25 cents for March 2028.
Kansas City Board of Trade wheat settled at 799.50 cents per bushel for December 2026, 812.25 cents for March 2027, 815.50 cents for May 2027, 807.25 cents for July 2027, 808.50 cents for September 2027, 815.25 cents for December 2027 and 815.75 cents for March 2028.
Minneapolis Grain Exchange wheat contracts were reported at 756.00 cents per bushel for December 2026, 774.75 cents for March 2027, 785.25 cents for May 2027, 784.00 cents for July 2027, 767.50 cents for September 2027, 767.25 cents for December 2027 and 771.00 cents for March 2028.
In the conventional canola bulk market, bids were reported at terminals, mills and processors across several locations. Hallock, Minnesota, Enderlin, North Dakota, and Velva, North Dakota, each recorded multiple bid entries. Basis values for canola ranged from 23.69 to 27.28 dollars per hundredweight, with basis changes marked as down across the reported entries. Price values for canola ranged from 23.69 to 27.28 dollars per hundredweight, while year-ago averages ranged from 18.88 to 21.20 dollars per hundredweight.
The report notes that price and basis values are quoted for current delivery unless otherwise specified. Freight codes used in the report include FOB for Freight On Board, DLVD for Delivered, and CIF for Cost, Insurance and Freight, with transportation modes designated as truck, rail, barge, or combinations thereof, as well as ocean vessel.
