Editorial: Rancho Cielo continues building brighter futures

For 25 years, Rancho Cielo has helped Central Coast youth build brighter futures.

At Rancho Cielo, students learn by doing, gaining hands-on experience in programs ranging from agriculture and mechatronics to auto restoration and culinary arts.

Along the way, they work toward a high school diploma while developing the skills they need to succeed in life.

This year marked a major milestone: Ninety-three students graduated, making it the largest graduating class in Rancho Cielo’s history.

The impact extends far beyond the campus.

Through programs such as the annual Veggie Box fundraiser, donations help support student programs and provide fresh produce to local families through area nonprofits.

The event culminates in a barbecue lunch prepared on campus by Rancho Cielo’s culinary team and volunteers.

A diploma. A skill. An opportunity to build a better future.

Rancho Cielo continues to demonstrate what is possible when a community invests in its young people.
